After 22 years as a premier space for lodging and events, the Royal Park Hotel was ready for a makeover. Located on the shore of Paint Creek in the heart of downtown Rochester, the English manor-style hotel recently received its first renovation since opening in 2004. The multimillion-dollar project, completed in January 2026, updated all 143 guest rooms (including 15 suites) and refreshed the hotel’s gathering places and wedding spaces.

Chicago-based Gettys Group led the redesign with a “bud to blossom” approach. Incorporating floral patterns and brighter, more tranquil color schemes, the group transformed the hotel into a more contemporary destination while maintaining its classic appeal.

The hotel’s five unique venues accommodate everything from intimate gatherings to large-scale weddings. Invite up to 650 guests to the largest event space, the Royal Grand Ballroom, where warm tones complement Murano glass chandeliers. For smaller events, the Stratford seats up to 30 guests and is ideal for pre-wedding festivities, such as showers or rehearsal dinners. Designed with the wedding party in mind, the hotel offers award-winning catering and customizable bar packages to help take stress out of the big day.
